Texaco Garage Site on Albany Road
After several queries from residents the Focus Team asked the Council to contact the owners of the disused Texaco Garage site on Albany Road to find out what their plans for the site are. Unfortunately their efforts have so far been unsuccessful – we are still working on it though.
We have now been contacted by residents who tell us that youths often break into the site and cause disturbance in the evenings. This obviously brings a new slant to the issue. The Police and Council Youth Team have been contacted regarding this and we wait to see what the outcome will be.

Rumble strips on Kincraig Street
Last October Rodney Berman presented a petition collected by residents in Kincraig Street, calling for the removal of the rumble strips at either end of the road, to Council. The reason residents want them removed is because the rumble strips create so much noise when driven over, they can hear it in their homes.
As yet nothing has been done, so Rodney has now written to the Council Transport officer asking for an update. We will keep you updated.
